For the Dough:
- 2 ¼ tsp 1 packet active dry yeast
- ¾ cup warm water about 110°F/45°C
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
For the Toppings:
- ½ cup pizza sauce or tomato sauce optional
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 large eggs
- ½ cup cooked breakfast sausage or crumbled bacon
- ½ cup diced bell peppers
- ¼ cup sliced red onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or chives for garnish optional
Step 1: Make the Dough
In a small bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
Stir until a dough forms, then knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Cover with a towel and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
