- 2 cups sushi rice
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 lb fresh salmon sashimi-grade
- 4 sheets nori seaweed
- 1/2 cucumber julienned
- 1/4 avocado sliced

Prepare the Rice: Cook the sushi rice according to package instructions. Once cooked, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved. Let the rice cool to room temperature.
Prepare the Salmon: Slice the fresh salmon into thin, bite-sized pieces for topping.
Assemble the Rolls: Place a sheet of nori on a bamboo sushi mat. Spread a thin layer of sushi rice on top of the nori, leaving about an inch at the top. Add cucumber and avocado slices along the center.
Roll the Sushi: Carefully roll the sushi using the mat, applying gentle pressure. Seal the edge with a small amount of water.
Top with Salmon: Place the sliced salmon on top of the roll. Optionally, drizzle with a little soy sauce or sesame oil for added flavor.
Slice and Serve: Using a sharp knife, slice the roll into 6-8 pieces. Serve with soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger on the side.
